Rochester Opera House

Educational & Exciting!
I can't thank you enough for all your help with today's show [We The People]. So many of the parents/teachers told me how much they loved the show! I called the company [Theatreworks USA] to see if they could get us a CD or DVD of the show. I love when an education show like this really excites our children for the love of learning! I look forward to seeing you again for future shows. Thank you again.
  ~ Sincerely, Carol Petrusewicz

A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Dickens With a Delightful Twist!

Charles Dickens' classic tale turns modern as we trace the life of miserly Scrooge (Doug Decker) from the 1940's to present day. We find the old curmudgeon full of "Bah, Humbug!" on Christmas Eve, while his employees' hearts are full of holiday joy. Once dismissed from their toil, Cratchitt (Greg Bell), Fred (Noah Nelsen) and the rest rush home to celebrate the season. Scrooge, alone, sits in silence. Almost imperceptibly, Marley (Christopher Gempp) appears. He must talk some sense into his old partner, Ebby, before it's too late. This contemporary version of Dickens' heartwarming story of redemption and forgiveness is jovial, humorous and fun. Celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with your family and friends with A Christmas Carol directed by Shay Willard with live music directed by Kathy Fink.

HENRY AND MUDGE

Best Friends Forever?

Moving from the city to a new house in the country can be tough. Just ask Henry. He misses Annie, his cousin and best friend, and can't find a playmate in his new neighborhood. Luckily Mom and Dad buy him a great, big, slobbery dog - Mudge - with whom he can share all kinds of adventures. It looks like Henry and Mudge will be best friends forever, until Annie arrives for a visit. Will Annie come between a boy and his dog? Can a kid have two best friends? This charming Theatreworks musical is based on the best-selling series of books by Cynthia Rylant.
